Wang-Tang!

Baked Cheesecake topped with a Pineapple Coulis and served with Vanilla Ice Cream

This decadent dessert is found at Wang Thai, an authentic Thai cuisine establishment situated on Nelson Mandela Square, Sandton.

What a fine dining experience with such high authenticity here at Wang, holding tightly to their Asian influences with appearances such as coconut, aromatic curry pastes and fresh herbs.
Wang serves up dishes that not only satisfy the sense of taste and smell but aims to arouse the sense of hearing too, with their sizzling hot plates and dripping water feature to complete the experience.

Their fine desserts include Thai silk, Banana spring rolls and of course, their ever so seducing baked cheesecake with a buttery shortbread biscuit base sauced with a pineapple puree featuring vanilla ice cream. So exquisite, a slice that stands tall on a white serving dish, smooth to the touch yet grasps onto the utensil feeding you effortlessly.

There is an extensive choice of food and everything has a classy feel to it - the location, staff, décor and plating. It is pleasant and the noise is kept to a minimum. It's the type of place you take your partner to, or your family, or yourself during the week when you want to get away from the office.

Asian statues adorn the walls while the ever-caring staff await your attention to awaken you with their five star studded offerings mastered by award-winning chefs, here you will not be treated as a patron; here, you are royalty.

Be sure that this is the first of many Wang Thai visits, I continue to hold them to high esteem, there's so much more to be said about this place, but if you'd excuse me, I must get back to my meal.
