Started in 1997 by founding partner, Ilan Lipschitz, Château Gâteaux has been growing immensely ever since, breaking through to the local consumer market by opening up patisseries across South Africa in prime locations.

From exquisite cakes to fine Viennese-style Danishes and hot drinks; their client base ranges from millennials to the experienced.

At Château Gâteaux, I have found that the phrase "consistency is key" is a phrase that their products are modelled on, from individual cakes to whole cakes; they have maintained quality while keeping up with the demand of a fast paced society.

Spoilt for choice, you are bound to spend more time deciding on which decadence to devour than the amount of time it will take for your order to arrive at your table but be sure that their quick service does not take away from the serving style which usually features a plate design or two.

After 20 years of elegance, they've maintained authenticity by not adding unnecessary preservatives which puts their offerings at the top with industry veterans but as they say themselves, they're here to dominate, so go ahead, they know exactly what they're doing.
